Theme Lesson: How we express ourselves
Central Idea: Being aware of our feelings and expressing them appropriately effects our relationships.
First of all, visuals were shown to the students and they were asked about them. The teacher gave time to think. The teacher tried to understand their prior knowledge in this way. Some of the students knew and said English names of the emotions. Names of the emotions (Happy, Sad, Angry, Surprised)were learned in English and they were revised. Short and simple sentences were made. All the students participated to these activities. Each student chose his/her favourite emotion face and made a puppet in order to reinforce his/her knowledge. The song "If You're happy..." was watched and sang by the students.

Anafikir: Duygularımızın farkında olmak çevremizdekilerle ilişkilerimizi etkiler.
Önce öğrencilerimize görseller gösterildi ve bu resimlerin ne oldukları onlara soruldu, biraz düşünmeleri istendi. Bu yolla, ön bilgileri öğretmen tarafından öğrenilmek istendi. Bazı öğrenciler duyguların isimlerini (Mutlu, Üzgün, Kızgın, Şaşkın) İngilizce olarak bildiler ve söylediler. İsimler İngilizce olarak öğrenildi ve tekrar edildi. Kısa cümleler kuruldu. Tüm öğrencilerin aktivitelere katıldı. Her bir öğrenci bilgisini pekiştirmek amacıyla en sevdiği duygu yüzünü seçerek kukla yaptı. Konu ile ilgili "Eğer Mutluysan..."şarkısı izlendi ve söylendi.
